Rohan Milne
Jeweller / Designer
"The idea knows no bounds."
As a child, Rohan filled his pockets with unusual stones and pebbles from the bushland surrounding his home in the hills of Western Australia, constantly adding to his growing collection. It seems an appreciation for rare natural objects runs in his blood, as Rohan's great grandfather was a founding member of Broome's pearling industry. This childhood fascination led him in the direction of jewellery design and manufacture and now Rohan's collection has expanded to include premium diamonds, pearls and the coloured stones he uses to create unique pieces for the clients of Rohan Jewellery.
Eager to experience jewellery on an international level and explore the world in the process, Rohan pursued his dream to work in New York where his mentor was award-winning jewellery designer to the stars, Henry Dunay. Rohan was then beckoned by 'la dolce vita' of Italy where he designed for Guccione of Europe. His handcrafted cufflinks were presented to the Pope and Silvio Berlosconi, Prime Minister of Italy. It was during this time that Rohan was exposed to the traditional methods of jewellery making, under the tutelage of Maestro Giorgio Guccione and his son Gianluca. The family adopted Rohan as one of their own and they maintain strong business and personal relationships.
You'd be forgiven for thinking all this success might have gone to his head, but you'd be wrong. Rohan has returned to Australia to establish Rohan Jewellery, a warm and welcoming jewellery lounge in the heart of Leederville that celebrates a growing list of clients in Australia, Japan, Europe and the USA.

When I was younger I wanted to be a BMX Bandit.
